Just out of interest does anyone know how I can convert my DMG image (containing Yosemite and various 3rd party software) from a *real* MAC (backed up using Disk Utility) and have that boot up in VirtualBox? That way, I don't have to go through the clean install process from an image of just the bare OS.
I tried creating an additional virtual HDD in VirtualBox and then restored the IMG to that hard drive using Disk Utility within VirtualBox, but when I try to boot off that hard drive it comes up with several errors on the POST screen and doesn't reach the login screen.
Any help would be much appreciated!
