Error 0x000000C4 on Win Server 2012 R2 execution...

Post by aligee946 »

I've been trying to create another Win Server 2012 and I keep getting this error message when trying to install ISO. At first I was using the same ISO I used to create the Server I already have in VB, I just downloaded another trial version from Microsoft but I'm getting the same error. Is this Microsoft telling me I can't have another one???

Anyway, the message says to post log files here so....

Ah, log file too big too post. any ideas?

Many thank for any suggestions!!!

Zip the log file before posting.

And please be precise about error messages - both the wording and the context.

If you want to install Windows 2012 then don't choose the "Windows NT" template.

Go back into VM settings | General and change the OS version to "Windows 2012 (64bit)", then try the install again.

Thanks a lot, I didn't spot that as an option...I'm sure I put "Other 64 bit" or whatever it say's, the last time I installed. Oh well, thank you very much indeed....
