Running a mac hard drive in virtual box?

Hi,
I have a macbook pro late 2013 edition i believe that recently broke and the whole logic board is broken and at current i don't have the money to replace it. I have removed the hard drive from it and put it in my windows 7 PC.
I cannot access the files on it using HFSexplorer this may be due to the fact that it is possibly encrypted.
I was wondering whether i could use the program virtual box to boot off the hard drive into the mac operating system as surely all the date for that is stored on the hard drive.
Or wether i could even boot straight into it at my computers start up.
The mac was running OSX Yosemite
Thanks,
Nathaniel
