Post by Pablo Arroyo »

Hi Guys,

I think that this could maybe a re-post but i dont know... i have two VM's, in the host machine i want to use the ethernet connection and in guest machine i only want to use WIFI connection... this could be possible ??

Host

Guest

Both SO's are Windows 7 32 Bits

I want to use the internal wifi card.. not an external USB WIFI.

I believe it should be possible, provided the Wifi drivers cooperate with Virtualbox (some don't play nice). Your guest virtual NIC can be tied to whatever network cards your host has - just attach to the wifi connection. Keep in mind your guest will think it's attached to a wired network anyway and will not activate its Wi-Fi handling system, even though you have the guest NIC attached to wifi on the host, because the guest NIC is simulated as a wired Ethernet card.

To keep network activity from the host off the wifi, you'll have to edit the properties for the wifi connection and uncheck all the OS bindings, leaving all the Virtualbox bindings checked.
