hi guys.
problem of async of cpu core when running ATLAS @home or VLHC@home with virtualbox 4.3.12 and beyond.
event 19. do a search google.

CPU and motherboard look fine with running them event with big game running like bf4.

so don't think it's material..

setup : windows 8.1 pro, virtualbox 4.3.12 and beyond(will test with 4.2.26), i7-4790k (doesnt happen with i7-4770k on other setup, MB: asrock z97 extreme6. all vtx enabled but i guess not in virtualbox.

same post done at vlhc@home here : http://lhcathome2.cern.ch/vLHCathome/fo ... 1573#17456

even in 4.2.26 and 4.2.16 the one recommended with boinc

you have this kind of message:
A corrected hardware error has occurred.

Reported by component: Processor Core
Error Source: Corrected Machine Check
Error Type: Internal parity error
Processor APIC ID: 2

seems not happening with simple VM, only the ones from CERN and only with iè-4790k. Can someone confirm that?

maybe the vt-x for I/O which is not well integrated?

I can confirm now that I have a problem only with vLHC@home project. Every project trigger a event 19. theory simulation 260.79. Seems to affect every version of virtualbox.

I doubt it is a material problem since the error come only with this VM...

I encounter this issue while running virtualbox 4.3.20 r96997 too.
And in my background I had a WinRAR process running, producing a RAR archive in my local HDD(not networked drive), which later completed with CRC errors, not sure if it was related.

Had multiple of the below in my event logs, with different processor ID

A corrected hardware error has occurred.

Reported by component: Processor Core
Error Source: Corrected Machine Check
Error Type: Internal parity error
Processor ID: 1

The details view of this entry contains further information.

so after several months of depression and I see no answer from the virtualbox staff ^^

i can conclude that 's a maybe short of standardization of virtualization solution (sorry for my english)

I ve tried with same architecture but different components
asrock z87M formulaone, i7-4790k, bequiet 650W, idon t know anymore aobut the memory modules but they don t get any errors, no graphic card except intel

fresh install of windows 8.1pro nearly none software except antivirus, stardock programs, browser, and virtualbox and boinc.
I ve used several VM at the same time + customs VM from atlas@home and VLHC@home and if got the same error several times. so it definetely related to virual environnement.
virtualbox 4.3.28 but it is the same with at least 5 different versions.
My only worries is that : can the CPU get hurt because of that?
+ documentation

https://communities.vmware.com/message/2353066

several years, several achitecture, all the same symptoms. There is definetely something wrong about standard in VTx instruction or how the hypervisor is handling it. So I would really like that a staff of virtualbox can come to me post and look deeper into it ....
