I find so much, and i can't find the solution for my problem.
The file vbox-install.log says:
/etc/init.d/vboxdrv: 311: /usr/lib/virtualbox/src/build_in_tmp: not found
My kernel is 2.6.22-14.
I need a solution!!
Thanks

Did you add your user to the vboxusers group?

I have the same problem.
System: Ubuntu Hardy 8.04 2.6.24-17-generic (64bit)

I installed the deb-package from virtualbox.org and installed throw dpkg.
dpkg said:

Code: Select all

Richte virtualbox ein (1.6.0-30421_Ubuntu_hardy) ...
addgroup: The group `vboxusers' already exists as a system group. Exiting.
 * Starting VirtualBox kernel module
 * No suitable module for running kernel found
 * Starting VirtualBox host networking * done.
then i try to compile kernel modul:

Code: Select all

* Stopping VirtualBox kernel module * done.
 * Removing old VirtualBox kernel module * done.
 * Recompiling VirtualBox kernel module
 * Look at /var/log/vbox-install.log to find out what went wrong
/var/log/vbox-install.log :

/etc/init.d/vboxdrv: 311: /usr/lib/virtualbox/src/build_in_tmp: not found

any ideas?

thanks for your help.

Well, did you? otherwise you won't be able to run VM.
