Windows 7 guest painfully slow on OS X 10.9.5 host

you need to install the guest additions. 2D and 3D acceleration needs to be enabled for the guest.

only 512MBs RAM for a 64bit Windows 7 guest is probably low. 16MBs VRAM is much too low.

Great- thanks so much. Increased the allocated RAM to 1024 and the VRAM to 60. Also enabled 2D and 3D acceleration. I hadn't previously installed guest additions as I understood it wasn't available for Mac as the host, rather than the guest.

All running great now, thanks again
