We are having the problem of 64 bit operating systems being missing from the list when setting up a new VM. It's a new install of Virtual Box 4.3.18 on a Windows 2008 R2 server.
I’ve seen the posts about enabling virtualisation in the bios. Unfortunately we haven’t got easy access to the server (it’s in a remote machine room with no monitor, accessed via RD, need to give advance notice to access it) so want to try and work out what the exact issue first. I’ve also seen threads about Virtual Box not running on a machine with Hypervisor
I’ve run the CoreInfo – v command and returned the following results
Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU L5430 @ 2.66GHz
Intel64 Family 6 Model 23 Stepping 10, GenuineIntel
HYPERVISOR - Hypervisor is present
VMX * Supports Intel hardware-assisted virtualization
EPT - Supports Intel extended page tables (SLAT)
Is this telling me that virtualisation is enabled but I need to remove Hyper V ?
Thanks in advance for any advice

Hyper-V has to be disabled to run 64bit guests in VirtualBox.
