VERR_INTNET_FLT_IF_NOT_FOUND ERROR

Post by claudemir »

I'm having trouble using the vbox when configured as bridged network on virtual machine .
I tested several versions of vbox .
The vbox is installed on a dell inspiron 14z with Windows 8 64BITS

I've tried increasing the MaxNumFilters the register and several other options found in forums and nothing works
Can someone help me ?

Code: Select all

VMSetError: Failed to open/create the internal network 'HostInterfaceNetworking-Dell Wireless 1703 802.11b/g/n (2.4GHz)'
The VBox Bridge driver is not able to connect to the wireless card. You might want to see if you have the newest drivers for the card, but I know some wireless cards don't allow the filter driver.

Well Like I said see if you have the newest drivers and if not you might try Version 4.3.12 and see if it is because of the hardening.

For what ever reason VirtualBox is not happy with your NIC. Even if it is wireless it should still be able to use it. You should post a ticket at bugtracker and post this latest log file ( as an attachment ) explaining your problem.

If on your host you go to Control Panel | Network Connections, and check the properties for the "Dell Wireless 1703 802.11b/g/n (2.4GHz)" NIC, does it show the "VirtualBox Bridged Networking Driver" as present and enabled? (Post a picture please).

Ok, last attempt.

First, since you have a Win8-64bit host, Google for "Driver Signature Enforcement" and make sure your host is not configured to silently reject non-Microsoft drivers. Set it to at least prompt you for installination.

Then fully uninstall and then reinstall VirtualBox 4.3.12, making sure to use "Run as administrator" when you run the installer.

If that fails then all you can do is raise that bug ticket as Perry suggested.

Good afternoon , after several tests , formatted my note and install windows 8 with a standard media (not used the recovery ) .
after it downloaded the drivers of network cards and others.
I installed VB 4.3.18 and now everything works .
