I am experiencing a lot of low frame rates when starting up and working with this virtual machine. It's just really slow, I can't navigate my mouse properly without its huge delay.

What is causing this? Is my computer just not good or powerful enough to handle virtualization of Windows 7? I've started with trying it on 64bit, but thought the 32bit would fix it since it has lower requirements. I am in need of VirtualBox for a school project, it's quite important and I would appreciate all the help I can get!

My computer specifications:

Samsung Series 3 NP355e7c-s05nl
AMD A6-4400M APU with Radeon(tm) HD Graphics (2.70 GHz)
AMD Radeon HD 7600M Series
8GB RAM

Install the GAs and make sure that 2D acceleration is enabled. If that doesn't help then provide the information which Lou linked to.

I'm using version 4.3.18
Running a 32bit version of Windowsy 7 Professional N with 2304MB RAM available(a little bit over 2GB).

According to the log you posted you are running 4.3.16. You may have posted the wrong log. You have no guest additions installed which means 3D acceleration won't be working and possibly 2D acceleration. (I forget). Anyway, as mpack said you need to install the guest additions. You also need to install the extension pack if you want USB support etc.

Both 2D and 3D acceleration is provided by the VBox graphics drivers, so if the Guest Additions (which includes these drivers) are not installed then the guest OS will be using software rendering for video which is obviously going to be slow.

Where do I download the 4.3 version of the extension pack, or should I ignore it?

Not the problem. You also need to install the Guest Additions.

Let's not introduce any red herrings. I didn't say Extension Pack, I said Guest Additions.

The Extension Pack is a totally different thing - that's a plugin for the VBox software on the host which you install once to extend VBox's virtualization capabilities (e.g. adding USB2) and has nothing to do with graphics inside VMs.

The Guest Additions is a driver and software pack that you install in every guest. It's only available for supported guests, which of course includes Windows. The GAs are on an ISO that is bundled with the main VBox download. To attach the ISO to a VM you run the VM and choose Device|Insert Guest Additions CD.... On some guests that is enough - autorun will cause the installer on the virtual CD to run. On other guests you need to browse to the CD inside the guest and run the installer manually.

Remember to eject the GAs CD when you're done. Leaving it bound to a guest can complicate future VBox software updates.

What I did was update VirtualBox to 4.3.18 and noticed a huge difference when starting up and installing the OS. It was way smoother for the most part which is great, but I noticed some mouse stuttering which was kinda annoying but still able to work with.

I went on and downloaded the Guest Additions .iso here http://download.virtualbox.org/virtualbox/4.3.18/ and started VBoxWindowsAdditions.exe and it started installing but after a few second the installation was aborted for the following reason:

ERROR (e000020b): Unknown error!

I told you that the ISO was bundled with the software, and how to mount it. If my instructions are going to be ignored then I see no point in either of us being here.
