I'm running a newly installed Windows 7 Pro guest, x86, on an Ubuntu 14.04 LTS host, 32-bit, using VirtualBox 4.3.18 r96516. The guest system has 1 GB ram; the host, 4 GB. I just installed the win7 guest a couple weeks ago.
It always crashes (in guru meditation) after a few hours; usually within 1 hour. Sometimes it does this when I am doing nothing, though usually I am running Adobe Connect, with the host-integrated webcam enabled.
I have tried setting most of the power settings to "never", though several of the crashes have been while the system was actively used.
I have used the webcam in my Windows XP guest for several months, with never a problem. But it's time to upgrade.
Any ideas what to try?
