[solved] Can't install 10.6 guest on 10.10

I also rejiggered the XML file with the anti-piracy efi string, but otherwise no other changes. This is under Virtualbox 4.3.18 on a 2014 retina Macbook Pro. On my previous 2010 MBP and VBox 4.2, OS X 10.6 was able to run. Now, it freezes when trying to use the install disc on this screen:

Any way to fix this problem?
