Hello,

I finished my installation of VBox and I created a new machine virtual with files to run machine; .iso (for Windos 8 ) and QIIME.vdi in configuration and when I started to open the machine, occured that don't open normal, and require that I install Windows 8 again. I have my Windows 8 in my computer PC ,but in other times when I installed VB don' require this step.

Must I install the windows 8 with VB?Why I can't open normal my new machine create in VB?

VirtualBox does not require Windows 8 nor would it ask you to reinstall it.

Thank you, but I didn't read what you write in forum until now, and I try to install Windows 8 to start to run qiime.vdi inside virtual machine. When I open Virtual machine and i want to play with the file folders and qiime program, I can't find the folder typical to install qiime as: before_to_start, install drivers guest additions and installation of internet and Shared?Folder.

Can you say me How can I remove the installation Windows and come back to open VBox with qiiime within install the Windows 8?.

I tried to install again the Virtual Box (I remove the machine virtual created: qiime.vdi and qiime.bvox and download the program VB and qiime x64bit from online tutorial qiime),but I have the same problem. I can't open normal the new machine created and a screen with the installation of Windows is requered to start!

Why??I don't want to install Windows, I only want to start to run commands in executable qiime to analyze my data...

Thank you, I find the problem!!!I didn't download the qiime x64 in web online, and I created a new mvirtual machine for me.My mistake!!
