After installing Virtual Box on Win7 pro host, access to the wireless network in the host is sporadic. At times (9 out of 10 times), I must disconnect and reconnect the network to gain access when running in the host (e.g., after requesting Outlook to check email, or to access Web using Firefox, etc.) Have not tried any access to network in the guest os which is also win7 pro.
Any and all ideas would be appreciated.
Network access for host after VB install
Re: Network access for host after VB install
I was able to get a consistent network connection in the host, but only after removing NAT under Network setting and setting it to none. Can anyone tell me how to set up the guest os (Win7 Pro) to access the network and not disrupt the host network (Win 7 Pro) operation?
Many thanks for any help on this.

Re: Network access for host after VB install
Usually it "just works". There must be something unusual about your host machine or OS. The only reason for this sort of thing that I am aware of is a problem with the NIC driver in the host OS. If Windows thinks you have the latest driver for the device, check with the manufacturer for a later one.
If all else fails, try a different NIC in the host machine.
