Guest XP program showing on Win7 host
I had an XP guest running with a startup program showing on a Win7 host with no XP wallpaper and no XP task bar. I can't seem to be able to get that back now. How can I configure my VM to do that again?
Thank you,

Thanks for the reply...
I had that working before. Now Host + L doesn't do anything. How can I get that back?
Thanks,

Re: Guest XP program showing on Win7 host
It shows in the VirtualBox Manager that GuestAddititons is running.
I know that really doesn't mean that it installed properly.
I used to have the pull up menu just above the guest task bar so I could Check/install the VBoxGuestAdditions.iso
How can I get that back?
Thanks,
Docfxit

Re: Guest XP program showing on Win7 host
Do you have the VirtualBox main manager (GUI)?

Re: Guest XP program showing on Win7 host
Not really. Post the guests *.vbox file ( compressed to get by filters) as an attachment.

Re: Guest XP program showing on Win7 host
I have figured out how to turn back on the menu and the StatusBar with this command line:
The Host key still isn't working. I did re-assign it to the right ALT key.
Thank you,
Docfxit
Code: Select all
VBoxManage setextradata global GUI/Customizations MenuBar,StatusBar
