Connecting to internet and USB

I have installed my VM (with Windows 7 64 bit) and installed Palm Desktop software on it in order to back up my old Palm phone. However I cannot get the Palm desktop to see the phone when I attach it by USB. Also Windows cannot see my wireless or ethernet internet network. Any idea how I can resolve these issues?

As far as your Palm Phone, see the VirtualBox user manual on how to set up USB filters. As far as guest internet access, your Windows guest should be set to either NAT or Bridged then it will use the Host's internet connection.
