Greetings:
Win 7 host, Win 7 guest, VB 4.3.18.
I share host directories in the config with my guest (permanent, auto-mount is enabled, and full access) and create one mapped drive per shared folder in the guest session. Everything works fine.
Next day, start up the guest session again, and the shared folders have been mapped again, so I now have two of each shared folder mapped in the guest. Irritating and messy.
This has been going on for several months now, at least. I used to have this same problem with Win XP host and guest as well.
Anybody else seen this? Anybody have any recommendations?
Thanks!
Neil

Re: Shared Folders map multiple times
Manually mapping auto-mounted drives will cause duplicates. If you want to map the drive yourself do not use auto-mount.
Re: Shared Folders map multiple times
I just looked that up in the user manual and, of course, you are correct! I must have missed that when converting to version 4.x way back when and selected that by mistake, thinking it was like a 'reconnect automatically at boot' type thing instead of what it is.
My bad.
Thanks for the clarification and the end of the frustration!!
