Virtual box returned to the 2012 state

Hi!
I have a big problem, my brother virtualbox returned to the year 2012 state. 2013 and 2014 missing. He using virtualbox on the Mac with Win7.
Timeline:
- Last week he was China, and his Mac's date changed somehow to 03-09-2012.
- Forgot to turn off , and unfortunately discharged
- When the laptop is turned on again last two year missing...
Now the last snapshot is from september 2012.
And no backup.....
