Hi,
I get the following error when using more than 7 USB devices:
"Failed to create a proxy device for the USB device
Error: VERR_PDM_NO_USB_PORTS"
Is this a known limitation? I am currently running VirtualBox 4.3.8 r92456. I could not see any information about this in the latest release notes up to VirtualBox 4.3.18 either.
Is there a way to increase this limit without having to make a new build?
Another option would be to add another USB controller. Anyone who has done this?
Thanks.

Or use the ICH9 chipset instead of the PIIX3

Yes. You won't find anything about it in release notes because it never changed.Viggo wrote:Is this a known limitation? I am currently running VirtualBox 4.3.8 r92456. I could not see any information about this in the latest release notes up to VirtualBox 4.3.18 either.
No.Is there a way to increase this limit without having to make a new build?
What exactly do you need it for?
