Error during Linux installation

Hi
Today, I tried to install a Linux distribution on a Windows 7 64 Bit PC
Some seconds after booting the iso images, Virualbox crashes and refers to the logfile.
I tried out Ubuntu, Mageia, Mageia network install (64 +32 Bit), but they all crashed.
Surprisingly, Knoppix Live-CD boots well and runs stable.
Does anyone have an idea, why this problem occurs?
I used virtualbox on different machines many times before, and never had such a problem.

I tried to change various VB settings, but nothing worked.

Attached you can find the VBox.log, sorry it's to big to post/upload it directly.

Can you verify the hosts processor information for me? I need the exact model.

According to http://ark.intel.com/products/27613/Int ... 00-MHz-FSB your processor does not support hardware virtualization which is needed to run 64-bit guests in VirtualBox. That and it doesn't look like VirtualBox is detecting your processor properly anyway. You can post the information at bugtracker to verify, but even if they added the CPU to the list it will not run 64-bit guests without hardware-virtualization.

Thanks for our research :)
Does that mean, that 32Bit guests could work well?
I will try that out, but mageia 32 caused also an error yesterday.

Thanks a lot
Lukas

Like I said there may be a need to send the info to bugtracker if you have the same issues installing 32-bit versions. But that being said I can say that you will have speed issues since you are having to run in software rendering mode and it can be extremely slow.
