I had a problem with Trend micro antivirus software causing a problem finding a component of windows error on startup. I tried reinstalling the OS, (Windows XP). At the end, it would not allow me to activate windows, stating that it was unauthorized. I tried creating a new partition and reinstalling a fresh OS. I get the sam problem.
Whats up with this?
Windows activation

Re: Windows activation
Why ask us? Why not ask TrendMicro.
In any case, what does this have to do with VirtualBox? How is it different from the same problem on a physical machine?

Re: Windows activation
The problem is no longer related to trend. I simply repaired windows installation. Following, I was asked to activate windows, even though it was activated years ago when I first installed it. It will not let me activate. Further, I am finding that my "o" and "0" keys will not work when I am typing in the code, definitely the problem as the coed contains to zero's. I did try setting my function keys to standard.
