Screen doesnt fill fullscreeen mode

hello, i have a windows 7 VM guest on a 27"imac, i'm not able to fill the complete screen in full screen mode, the 2560x1440 resolution doesnt appear in the guest. I have reinstalled the most recent guest additions but it doesnt work.
Can anybody help me?

Ok, you do seem to have the GAs installed, and VRAM allocation seems large enough. Incidentally, it's good practice to eject the GAs CD now that they're installed.

You say that the "2560x1440 resolution doesn't appear in the guest". That's natural - you get to fullscreen mode by selecting View|Switch to fullscreen while the guest is running. And that's what you did, right? And you have "View|Auto-resize guest display" enabled too?

Now, i just hide the dock and drag the VM window as much as i can and it gets to 2551x1371, nearly full screen, enough for me, is it possible to reach 2560x1440?

You mean, can you use the full screen display size without actually going to fullscreen (no caption and borders) mode? No, I wouldn't think so.

Actually you can force the screen resolution of the quest to 2560x1440.

For what it's worth, Full Screen, Host+F does fill a 27" iMac. At least it has for me for a year or so.
