Windows 10 public beta stuck on boot screen

I'm running the Windows 10 64-bit public beta ISO. When I start it, it stays on the original screen with a black background and blue Windows logo. It doesn't go past this screen. Eventually, the disk status icon stops doing anything. My settings are:
Windows 8.1 64 bit (closest one)
2457 MB base memory
2 processors
VT-x/AMD-V, Nested Paging, PAE/NX
156 MB display memory, 2D and 3D acceleration
45.07 GB dynamically expanding VDI, on SATA controller
EFI enabled

The host is Mac OS 10.9.5 on a Late 2012 base Mac Mini. I'm running VirtualBox 4.3.14 r95030.

This does not exist. There is a developer preview though which is pre alpha.

Try with the defaults using Windows 8.1 and do not change anything. Also no guest additions so don't try to install them after you finally get it to boot.

Well, then I guess I'm using the developer preview. whatever it is on insider . windows . com
