Internet connection & LAN access at the same time!
At present I can either setup NAT (for internet access) or Bridged adaptor (for LAN access) in my vm's but not both together at the same time!
I have tried various combinations of adaptors such as:
- NAT + BRIDGED
- NAT + HOST ADAPTOR ONLY
Is it too much to ask to have both internet connection & access to shared folders on host pc at the same time?!

Normally if you use Bridged you have both the Internet and the LAN. Are you saying that this is not working for you?
If you use NAT to access the Internet then you need host-only to access the LAN.
If you use NAT to access the Internet then you need host-only to access the LAN.

No! - that's the problem!
- Bridged ==> LAN but not Internet!
- NAT ==> Internet but not LAN!
- NAT + host only adaptor ==> Internet but not LAN (or the other way round) but not both!
- NAT + Bridged ==> Internet but not LAN (or the other way round) but not both!
Win7 host
Standard Router
Win8.1 VM
Win10 VM

Re: Internet connection & LAN access at the same time!
It's wired Ethernet cable from pc to broadband router!
Physical adaptor: Intel Ethernet Connection I217-v #2 (mobo) - with default settings in device manager (Win7SP1)
Adaptor type selected in vm network settings: pro/1000 MT desktop 82540oem) - allow all - cable connected selections
Can you remind me where the guest log file is located?
System spec: core i5 4670K - 16gb ram - windows 7 on ssd - 2 x sata hdd data drives
Vm spec: 4gb ram - 2 cpu allocated

Do you by chance have a guest that is supported?

Can you clarify - In what way do you mean a guest that is supported?

Windows -10 developer preview is not supported yet and probably will not work as expected for some time to come. Do you have any other guests that you can/have tried?

Re: Internet connection & LAN access at the same time!
It isn't clear to me what the nature of the "failure" is in this discussion. I very much doubt that VirtualBox prevents you from configuring separate NAT and bridged adapters in a VM. So I guess you must be saying you're having difficulty getting the guest OS to work with both adapters? And what constitutes "working" even in that sense?
