Virtualbox 4.3.16 Aero/3D issues

Since I upgraded to VirtualBox 4.3.16, I've been having major issues with Windows Aero and other applications running in the guest machine using 3D. Instead of seeing the actual content, I see just sort of an outline of the objects. I have screenshots attached of these problems occurring. This happens for Aero in Windows 7 and the GPU-accelerated desktop rendering in Windows 8. It also happens with GPU-accelerated applications such as Google Chrome. My host GPU is a NVIDIA GeForce GT 840M, and I thought that might be causing the problem so I disabled them to make VirtualBox use my integrated graphics (Intel HD Graphics 4400), and the problems still occur. Please fix this issue!
