I uninstalled VB 4.3.14 (which lost its capacity to display full-screen) on Windows 8.1 host and deleted the Ubuntu 12.04 guest.

I installed the 4.3.17 r96342 on Win 8.1 and 4.3.17 Guest extensions. I recreated Ubuntu 12.04F guest.

All worked well for a while. I closed the Ubuntu machine and VB.

Restarted VB. Starting Ubuntu fails with the following message:

Failed to install NtCreateSection monitor: e9 6b 51 12 80 0 0 0 f 5 c3 f 1f 44 0 0 (rc=-8)

Folowed by a second message:

Failure to open session for the virtual machine Ubuntu 12.04F

The virtual machine 'Ubuntu 12.04F' has terminated unexpectedly during startup with exit code 1 (0x1). More details may be available (in log files)

The Ubuntu machine finally stared (with no manipulation of any sort) on the fourth tentative.
