Shared folder against a host Onedrive not showing any files

Hi,
I'm using VirtualBox 4.3.12 on a Windows 8.1 host together with a Windows Server 2012 guest. On my host I have the Onedrive functionality supplied by Windows 8.1 where I store some folders and files. I want to use this folder to be shared with the guest, but when I do so no files show up when viewing the shared folder in the guest. If I create a file from the guest, the file is visible, but the files already existing in the Onedrive folders isn't visible.
Any tips?
