Hi I have the same problem with a Chicony usb 2.0 webcam built-in in a Toshiba A200 satellite laptop. The webcam is working on the Ubuntu Hardy host and inside the virtualbox machine with windows xp is correctly recognised, the led is on when trying to use it, but there is no image.

In case u know any workaround please suggest !!!

Search the forums for webcam, then you see that there is a problem with it. It gives black video instead of the camera view.

it's normal, no webcam is really working in vbox, mine send one frame per second.

If they fix it, I'm sure they will put it in the changelog. Keep an eye out for it when new versions are released.
