Hi There

New to Virtualbox - running on a Windows 8.1 x64 host with a monitor in 1920x1080 mode, have created a Windows 7x32 VM in VB but can get the monitor resolution any more than 1600x900. Searched all over for setting to
change this but can find them for my life.

Using Virtualbox 4.3.16

Any help would be appreciated.

Install the Guest Additions inside the guest.

And bear in mind that the virtual machine has a virtual monitor - the display size of the host monitor doesn't necessarily determine what size the guest will use. However you should have greater flexibility (e.g. to use fullscreen mode), once you install the GAs.
