:D I have been trying to get Windows Server 2012 64 bits on to Virtualbox and every time I do I get told it can not be installed on a 32 bit processor. everything is 64 bit but virtualbox is not recognizing that  . what can I do to get the server up and running? any and all advice appreciated

That is correct. There is no 32-bit version of Server 2012.

You cannot install a 64-bit guest unless hardware virtualization is available and enabled.

Virtualbox is only showing 32 bit it is not showing a 64 bit so it will not let me install windows server 2012, I cannot get Virtualbox to recognize my 64 bit system

This maybe relevant, if your system is able to run 64-bit guests: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=62339
