Hello,
I'm using VirtualBox 4.3.16 (the bug was actual for oldest versions too).
Host: Windows 7 x64
Guest: Linux Mint 16
My problem: virtual box crashes when I close some program on the guest system. it doesn't happen regular, but periodically and with different programs on the guest (firefox, keepass, standart calculator, etc.).
I get a few crashes per week or month and it is very annoying.
Do you have any idea how to fix it ?
Thanks by advance!

Re: VirtualBox shutdown
The startup log is not relevant once the guest has finished starting up. We need the (zipped) VM log. Minimum information needed for assistance.

Re: VirtualBox shutdown
? The log you provided (which is the .2 log, i.e. from your last session -2) seems to show the VM running successfully for 22 hours, and then being shut down normally. Did you provide the correct log? It isn't the one suggested in the linked instructions.
The only odd thing I see in the log is this:-
You could try downgrading to 4.3.12, including downgrading the GAs.
p.s. I notice that you haven't installed an extension pack on the host. That means you be missing some features, mainly USB2 support.

I don't recognize this symptom, but it seems to be related to the GAs.VBox.log.2 wrote: 22:26:38.343138 Guest Additions capability report: (0x5 -> 0x4) seamless: no, hostWindowMapping: no, graphics: yes

Re: VirtualBox shutdown
I probably found the problem.
It was conflict with Hot Keyboard program (http://www.hot-keyboard.com/). When I disabled it, crashes stopped.
