Hi,

I am using Virtual Box 4.3.14 (r. 95030) and I am not able to boot into Linux 17 (Mint)/Cinnamon/32bit on Win 8 (32bit). It's the first run the linux system wasn't installed on HDD yet (just attached ISO img in order to boot and instal this system). The system just hangs right after counting down the boot sequence.

I've checked the log file:

Code: Select all

00:00:07.892118 UIFrameBufferQImage::resizeEvent: Format=0, BitsPerPixel=0, BytesPerLine=0, Size=720x400
00:00:07.892144 UIFrameBufferQImage::resizeEvent: Resizing to FALLBACK buffer due to format is invalid..
00:00:08.085777 Display::handleDisplayResize(): uScreenId = 0, pvVRAM=0a5b0000 w=640 h=480 bpp=24 cbLine=0x780, flags=0x1
00:00:08.085817 UIFrameBuffer::RequestResize: Screen=0, Format=843204434, BitsPerPixel=24, BytesPerLine=1920, Size=640x480, Sending to async-handler..
00:00:08.085907 UIFrameBufferQImage::resizeEvent: Format=843204434, BitsPerPixel=24, BytesPerLine=1920, Size=640x480
00:00:08.085946 UIFrameBufferQImage::resizeEvent: Resizing to FALLBACK buffer due to format is invalid..
Unfortunately haven't found any solution for this yet.

Any advice is appreciated.

O.

Moved to "Windows Hosts".

Revert to 4.3.12, or if you want to help debug the hardening issue then try the 4.3.17 test build here.
