hello,
I want to ask, if someone got an idea (or two) on how to get "photsync" working in a virtualbox-guest system...
I left all network settings vanilla, internet in guest is working. When I open "photosync" under "about" I can see
the IP adress of the guest (which is something like 10.2.0.15 Port: 9000
When setting the network-adapter to "bridged-network", the program states something like "192.168.1.1" for the guest IP
Now, the problem is, when I start photosync app on iphone, I does not detect the guest-computer system.
(It does not show up) There is an option to enter an computer´s IP manually, which I did - but that does not work either...
Only thing that works, is to open a browser in the guest-system, enter the IP provided by the iPhone app and then I can
download photos via the browser-page....
I am asking, if there is a way to make the iPhone app actiually "see" the guest-system as a "computer" device?
Would be awesome, if somebody could help me out here and get smooth, one button syncing running!
Or is this generally impossible?
Cheers!

Re: Sync to virtualbox-guest via WLAN problem
If the guest has a working bridged network connection (not NAT), then it appears on the same network as the host PC, with the same capabilities as the host PC. Beyond that it's a matter of proper network configuration, and proper use of the Photosync software. The latter isn't a subject for these forums.
