3D acceleration error

Post by TomS »

The error:
Error dialog pops from VirtualBox.exe - Application Error "The instruction at 0x80154dba referenced memory at 0x00000018. The memory could not be read."
Followed by a dialog (that probably doesn't mean much) that says "Virtual Box - Error" "Details Result Code: RPC_S_SERVER_UNAVAILABLE 0x800706BA (0x800706BA)
Component: ProgressProxy
Interface: IProgress ...

Host: Windows 7 x64 Dell Precision M3800 w/ NVidia Quadro K1100M/PCIe/SSE2
Guest: Windows 7 x64
Guest log file attached.
4.3.16 r95972

Seeing an issue when running 3D acceleration.

Tried several things.
1) Installed the guest additions with WDDM Direct3D. Turn on 3D Acceleration and got error on startup.
2) Uninstalled then re-installed guest additions with generic Direct3D in safe mode. Turn on 3D Acceleration and got error on startup.
3) Upgraded VirtualBox to latest test release (4.3.17 r96191) and tried 1 and 2 above with same results.
4) Ran VBoxTestOGL.exe, log file indicates success.

Log files attached.

When a test build is provided in a topic, you are supposed to feed back problems with it in the same topic.
