Creating process for virtual machine... 0%

Post by Japik »

Hello,
I am using Windows 7 Home Premium 64b bit, Virtualbox 4.3.16 and Avast.

When I try to start virtual PC with Ubuntu, window pops up with message "Creating process for virtual machine", but it stucks on 0%. When I want to kill process "VBoxSVC.exe", it's possible, but when I want to kill process "VirtualBox.exe", nothing happens... I have to hard reset my PC to terminate it.

I had the same problem after i installed avast, I restarted my pc and disabled avast for 10 minutes, VM started without problems.

In my case I choose to use a different Antivirus on the host.

I was using Avast as well. I changed to Panda and VB works now.

Thanks
