Windows & Linux Guests crash with 3D Acceleration enabled

I had a problem when shutting down Mint Linux recently. The VM window would freeze towards the end of the shutdown. I thought the problem was isolated to that particular VM. Today I insalled Windows Server 2003 R2 andafter installing guest additions I shut the machine down. That all worked fine. Then I enabled 2D and 3D acceleration and started up the machine. All went well until I shut the machine down and the same problem occured as with the Linux VM. I closed the VM window and disabled the 3D acceleration, started the machine, shut down the machine and it worked. I tried this 2 more times to be sure. It seems that there is a problem with enabling 3D acceleration on all platforms. Hope they can sort this ASAP.
Thanks for a great product.

You don't specify what the host is, which version of VirtualBox you are using, and no guest logs to show the issue. Without them this post is not going to go very far.

Thank you. I was running the test version because it solved the problem with my existing VM's failing to start.
