New VM bug

Post by Akaize »

Wello.

I created a VM using an existing hard disk, which was generated from a clone from another machine. No secrets here.

If I boot it without configuring memory or processor, it starts perfectly (SLOW).
When I try to configure memory and processor, it's crash.

This is a Windows 2008 VM 64x.

Does anyone have any advice?

Thank you

What changes are you making to the VM? Do you have a log from when it crashes? Also, read: Minimum information needed for assistance.
Do NOT send me Personal Messages (PMs) for troubleshooting, they are simply deleted.
Do NOT reply with the "QUOTE" button, please use the "POST REPLY", at the bottom of the form.
If you obfuscate any information requested, I will obfuscate my response. These are virtual UUIDs, not real ones.

Ah, thank you, I'm new here.

Ok, I just change the memmory to 10 Gb, and the number of processors to 2. (but if I try less, don't work to).

Again, Thank you.

Well, now I know what is the cause.

If I change the memory to 3036 or +, crash.

My PC: -I7 3770, memory 16gb DDR3 1666, HD ssd 128gb + 1tb (The VMbox and the VM is in the 1tb hd)

Good news and bad news. Good news, I believe you have an issue that was fixed in a newer version. Bad news is they are still working out other issues with the new versions.

You can search bugtracker and find the ticket that addresses this.
