A long time ago, when I created the .vdi, I thought that 25 GB maximum would be big enough. I was wrong.
How do I increase the size of that disk now? (Win 7)

Yes, there's CloneVDI (as you were told in answer to the same question in March last year ).

So I'm supposed to remember something that happened 1.5 years ago?

I actually thought of CloneVDI, but didn't know that it resized disks also.

Here's an update of what happened, cause all is still not right.

I backed up the Win7.vdi, it of course took a long time cause it's a 25 GB file.

I ran CloneVDI on it. Increased the value of the size to 50 GB. Left Generate new UUID checked. Thought it would be fine.

It ran, took about 45 minutes. When done, VBox wouldn't use it because it said the UUID didn't match.

Ran CloneVDI on the original again, this time checked Keep old UUID. Took another 45 minutes.

VBox recognized it, booted, though it was good. But in my computer, it still showed a C drive almost full.
Tried to install software. Installer said disk was full.

Now back at square 1. Now what?

Check "Increase Partition Size" as well, then click proceed.

... or boot the VM with an GParted live ISO, and expand the partition.

All of this is explained in the release notes that come with the software.
