Fatal error

Post by nina »

Hi,

I have to install a Linux system on my Windows 7 laptop.
My school provided the Virtual Disk Image, but whenever I try to run it on VirtualBox, I get a fatal error.
While booting, it stops and shows an error message.
It seems to work for others though.
I have never used VirtualBox before, so I am not familiar with this.
Could anyone please help me to fix this problem?
I have attached the log files.

Nina

Code: Select all

00:00:29.730290 Console: VM runtime error: fatal=true , errorID=PAEmode message="The guest is trying to switch to the PAE mode which is currently disabled by default in VirtualBox. PAE support can be enabled using the VM settings (System/Processor)"
Have you tried to do what the error message is telling you to do?
Enable PAE in the guest settings.
