Not here! 4.3.12 works fine.
Re: 4.3.16 VM window keeps squeezing into smallest possible
Just waiting. Nobody is asking to provide any logs/info to help find the cause.

Re: 4.3.16 VM window keeps squeezing into smallest possible
Someone have tested the new 4.3.18 for this problem?
Re: 4.3.16 VM window keeps squeezing into smallest possible
Same problem with 4.3.18.
Re: 4.3.16 VM window keeps squeezing into smallest possible
I confirm 4.3.18 has same problems... both with VM windows resizing and RBtray incompatibility.
I'm going back to 4.3.12.... once more....
Bye!

Re: 4.3.18 VM window keeps squeezing into smallest possible
Anything on this from the devs? What can we (affected by this) can provide in the form of logs, configs?
I'm having issues with the latest Ubuntu version in virtual machines and i'm thinking it might be related to using older VirtualBox and addins, but i can't upgrade because of this issue.

Re: 4.3.18 VM window keeps squeezing into smallest possible
I use an Ubuntu Server on VirtualBox 4.3.18, and I can confirm that after upgrading from 4.3.12 to 4.3.16 and now to 4.3.18, I encountered the same behavior.
After running the VirtualBox guest or even on a restart, the Virtualbox window goes in the left corner of the screen, and it looks exactly like in the screenshot from the beginning of this topic.
I hope someone will find a solution for this bug!

Re: 4.3.20 VM window keeps squeezing into smallest possible
Just now I've tested new version 4.3.20.
The same situation
Returned to stable one - 4.3.12

Re: 4.3.20 VM window keeps squeezing into smallest possible
I tested version 4.3.20 and the problem still exist. Then I tried a clean install (no previous VirtualBox) on onother PC and all is ok. So I think when removing version 4.3.12 some settings in the register are kept and that will cause the problem.
Re: 4.3.20 VM window keeps squeezing into smallest possible
Have you connected same virtual machines with the same settings on another PC? I don't really want to start from scratch and reinstall 15 machines, i don't even want to import all machines to a fresh host install.Systech wrote:I tested version 4.3.20 and the problem still exist. Re: 4.3.20 VM window keeps squeezing into smallest possible
4.3.16 and 4.3.18 do have the same problem.
resaetting the screen resolution in Host helps to bring up the initial screen size back to acceptable (other it always has the size of the 'starting vm' window) size. Once installed in the guest - there is a problem. Starting normal size - windows will resize to small short before login. as it is very difficult to login into a machine without seeing whats going on. Tipp: F8- enter Guests startup window and select: start with reduced window size - start windows and now reset the resolution to a reasonable size. After reboot - automatic resizing to window will work again. It's defintive a problem with registry - but also within virtualbox.
I downgraded now to 4.3.12 ...

Re: 4.3.20 VM window keeps squeezing into smallest possible
Perhaps there is a way to clear the 4.3.12 settings from the registry and reinstall Virtualbox so that RbTray and VM Window Sizing will work correctly without losing the virtual machines. Anybody have any ideas?
