Virtual Box on Microsoft Surface Pro

I have a Microsoft Surface Pro 3 and am trying to run Virtual Box. I use WiDI to connect remotely to my monitor / projector. Last evening, I installed virtualbox on my surface pro. However, in doing so, WiDi stopped functioning until I removed the VirtualBox software. Is this a configuration issue with VirtualBox or a bug in the VirtualBox software that prevent WiDi from working on the Surface Pro 3?

None of the above. If anything it's a bug in Windows 8.

Google for MaxNumFilters.

I looked for the maxNumFilters. Unfortunately, this is something that was fixed for 8.1, which is what is on the surface pros.
