Internet Connection in vbox systems. Bridged not working.

Hello,
I have faced a problem and I'm already stuck. Gonna describe it soon but first some info: I'm running Win8, my VBox is 4.3.12, I'm using wireless connection.
The problem I'm having is I can't use BridgedAdapter. It is possible that I'm making some foolish mistake because I'm a beginner in this topic.
I have two vbox system installed: win xp and linux. When I have NAT chosen in Network Settings, then my vbox internet connection works fine. (But here I'm getting some kind of internal IP and I want the vbox system to be treaten like it was a normal, separate machine/host, with it's own IP etc). I read somewhere that I have to use BridgedAdapter. The problem is when I switch to it - my Internet Connection just stops working. Can't connect to anything (both linux and windows). Is there any way to solve it?
Please excuse the beginner if he asked something silly. I'd appreciate some detailed tips if possible.
Have a good day, cheers!
