when I tried to clone a vm, I found out the drive for the default machine folder does not have enough space.
what is the best practice to deal with the problem?
I actually want place the cloned vm in a different drive all together.
what happens if I shutdown all vms. and change the default machine folder for the time to to make the vm clone?
drive for default machine folder is full

Re: drive for default machine folder is full
RTFM: the "default machine folder" is where all new VMs will be created - it doesn't affect existing VMs. If you want to move existing VMs too then see the tutorials section for how.
I recommend that "a different drive altogether" shouldn't mean a removable or network drive.
