Hi.
Someone have same experience in "viewing" a expansion card in a win98 guest (host win 7).
I'm trying to work with a old machine that software can be installed only in win 98.
Thanks.

Virtual machines run on simulated hardware, it can't directly use the hardware of your host.
What kind of expansion card is it?

Your
virtual machine runs on
virtual hardware.
Virtual hard disk,
virtual graphics,
virtual mouse,
virtual keyboard,
virtual... VirtualBox
You will not see your expansion card in your virtual machine. Is the card a requirement to run a specific piece of software?

For the benefit of readers, it's an I/O expansion card. Looks like a couple of big FPGAs or CPLDs on there (I didn't look up the part numbers).
I asked because you could have been talking about a serial port expander, network card, LPT card etc. But, there is no chance of interfacing a VM with that card.
VM is not just another name for dual boot. Perhaps it's the latter you need.
