My problem is the next one:
I have a Win 8 pc, 12gb Ram, Core i7 2x 4500U, HDD 1TB 5400 RPM, and I'm trying to run Oracle Linux 5 update 10 on a VM with VirtualBox. The problem is that the usage of HDD when I'm in the guest os is terribly slow, almost always is at %100 of usage.
Before I started with OL5 I began to use OL7 and OL6 and it never happens to me. Really I don't understand what's happeing, I'll be thankful if somebody could help me!
Thanks in advance!

Re: Oracle Linux 5 Update 10
VirtualBox 4.1.34 r95024 win.amd64 (Jul 15 2014 14:10:20) release log
First thing I would suggest is to upgrade to a newer version but not above 4.3.12.
I see a race condition and this may have been fixed in a newer release.

I had the same problem with that version, but I'm gonna repeat all the process for re-upload the logs and you can see them again.
