I bought this device (DIAMOND VC500 One Touch Video Capture) to capture videos from old 8mm discs. Tried to install it on my Win8.1, does not work. I suspect that the Software from the device is not compatible with Win8.1. That is why I thought, let's use VirtualBox and run WinXP on it to use my video capture device. But now I suspect that VirtualBox does not connects my capture device to WinXP.
In Win8.1, in the Device Manager, this device is shown under "Audio, Video and Games". It has 2 items there: "USB2.0 Audio Capture" and "USB2.0 Video Capture". When I boot WinXP with VirtualBox and look in the Device Manager these 2 items are not there.
Is there a way to get this to work that XP sees my device in the device manager?
