Unreliable DMA position with Ubuntu12.04 on VirtualBox

Post by dhruvtec »

I installed virtual box inside a mac 10.7 and the guest is ubuntu 12.04 64bit. For the first time it worked fine and after that I installed couple of additional software and reboot the virtual box. This time I get unreliable DMA Position error and it is stuck no the splash screen with ubuntu logo and dots loaded at once. Is there any problem with ubuntu 12.04?

If you talk about being able to virtualize it in a Mac host, then most probably no. I have a couple of 12.04's and so do several people around here. So there must be something wrong with your setup. See: Minimum information needed for assistance. Oh, and if you don't mind, besides the log, please attach the .vbox file for your VM. Zipped.
