Hi all
I need to reubicate the default folder where the vms are located, from C:\VirtualMachines to another disk E:\VirtualMachines
What are the steps i must follow to safely move the folder with the VMs inside?
Thanks in advance...

FAQ: Moving a VM.
Do NOT send me Personal Messages (PMs) for troubleshooting, they are simply deleted.

"Reubicate"? I like to think I have a wide vocabulary, but that's a new one on me...Arzamm wrote: I need to reubicate the default folder where the vms are located, from C:\VirtualMachines to another disk E:\VirtualMachines

Technical clarification: VirtualBox doesn't define "a default folder where VMs are located". It defines a default folder where new VMs are created, but changing this folder doesn't affect VMs which already exist. The upshot is that if you want existing VMs to be located somewhere else, follow the link which Socratis provided.
Or, (unofficial method) if you have a lot of VMs and you're confident with XML editing, then you could simply copy the "VirtualMachines" folder, and then fix up the drive letters in <userdoc>\.VirtualBox\VirtualBox.xml. All with VBox shut down of course.

Hmm. All of the English dictionaries that I can lay my hands on are sadly deficient, since they all fail to include that word. So, I think I'll stick with "relocate" as my preferred word in that context.Arzamm wrote:Reubicate ---> Move something to a new place
