Hi,

I am using Windows 7 32bit as Host and Windows 2008 32 bit as Guest. As I needed to create two guests, so I copied the VDI/Folder of Windows 2008 after I completed installation.

When I try to create another Guest with same VDI it gives me error for same UUID, which i fixed with VBOXMANAGE Internal command but the problem after that i got it is when I try to open the copied Guest it doesnt starts and hangs on Black Screen, I tried using safe mode and it hands on CRCDISK.SYS and stay there.

Can you please let me know how to debug this problem and how to fix it?

The log / VM details is attached

I am using Vbox 4.3.15

Regards,

Use the clone feature. That's what it is for.

You can't copy VDI files using the host.

To make a working copy of a working VM, right click it and select "Clone". Choose full clone (not linked). Reset the MAC address if you need both VMs to run at the same time.

Be warned that Windows activation will be triggered by the duplication process, regardless of how you do it. You would need to fiddle with the BIOS DMI information to avoid that (see user manual + Google).
