I have Ubuntu 12.04 as a guest. Using VGA desktop I see the blinking pixels. I guess the issue is with the video driver, but as it uses VirtualBox video driver by default I can't use the native ndivia driver. Any advices? Thank you.

VBox version? GAs installed? You're seriously using VGA mode (640x480x16 colors)?

Well, obviously VirtualBox can't have a hardware fault. Ultimately, it's all done using the host's graphics drivers, graphics card, and the host display. Sounds like you need to be looking at one of those for your problem.
